Booking Terms & Conditions
All of our bookings are subject to the following:
1) Course fees are required to be paid on booking prior to the class of course to secure your place. This is best done here on our website or please send an email stating which course and date you would like to book into.
2) If the course is cancelled by Sewing Time (i.e. minimum course numbers not reached) you have the option to receive either full refund or transfer the payment to a later course or receive a credit note.
3) All classes will start on promptly on time. If you are unable to attend a class, please contact us prior to the class start time.
4) Failure to attend on the first day of a course or class will result in loss of your course fees. As no make-up classes are available, if you do not attend the course introduction session you will be ineligible to attend the remainder of the course.
5) Our cancellation and class transfer policy are as follows and depends on your booking, timing and wait lists. Please ensure you understand these terms prior to booking.
Cancellations with four weeks’ notice or more, of the booking start date will be refunded less a 10% admin fee of the course cost. You may transfer to another class or get a credit note.
Cancellations within two weeks (14 days) and four weeks (28 days) notice of the booking start date will be subject to us filling your place in the course. If we can find a replacement student your cancellation will be subject to a 20% admin fee. If we cannot fill your place there will be no refund or credit note.
Cancellations under two weeks (14 days) of the booking start date are non-refundable. If we can fill your booked place with another student, we will offer you a credit note to the value of 80% of the class fee that will be valid for 3 months.
There are absolutely NO make up classes available for adult classes.
For our Kid’s Term sewing classes one (1) make-up class is allowed per term and to be taking within that term. Make-up classes do not roll over into the next term.
6) All course changes are subject to a 10% fee to cover fees and administration.
7) Sewing Time reserves the right to cancel a class/course if minimum numbers are not achieved. We will confirm 5 days prior if minimum numbers are not achieved and you will be either fully refunded or transferred to another date.
8) Sewing Time reserves the right to use photos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish this to occur, please advise us. We ask that no student take photos or videos of classes, courses, teachers and students within our studio without our permission. Personal photos can be taken of your own work.
9) Our minimum age for our kids’ classes and courses is seven years old.
10) Parents that leave their child for more than 10mins over the end of a class time will be charged $20 per half hour. The minimum charge is $20.
11) Liability Waiver - You agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which you might incur whilst participating in classes and/or workshops organised by Sewing Time.
